Watching cartoons on TV on Saturday in one’s’ Panama”s.

 Listening to the baseball on the radio thru an open window in the summer whilst playing in the yard.

 Family picnics for the Fourth of July.

 Listening to the big standup radio on Sunday whilst lying  on the living-room floor and reading the Sunday comics.

 Reading in a warm chair on a rainy day.

 Snowball fights in winter.

 Sledding down hill in the park.

 Going to the drug store for an ice-cream soda at the marble counter.

 Wooden phone booths with pay phones.

 Playing hopscotch on the sidewalk in front of the house.

No matter what one thinks of the monarchy in the 21st Century one is saddened and struck by the passing of an era and history we shall not see again to say nothing of the loss of a mother and wife. We are all diminished by this event and sadness in someway
